Fusing spaces:

Transform without destroying: Minimize intervention
to the strictly necessary, recognizing the identity of the place
and re-shaping it to preserve and enlarge the duality of uses.

Add and cut: Break the present hardness by fusing existing structures, such as green and mineral. Add enriching elements,
such as a playful ground fountain (with low maintenance requirements) and carved lettering on pavement slabs
which recall its history.

Outcome: Maintain the magnificent ancient trees
and transplant some of the younger trees, create a fluid,
permeable public space with mineral paving and a variety
of vegetal strips to form an urban self-sustained space
where the first glimpse is a park.
